A digitally recorded photo consists of a huge amount of pixels.
These pixels each have their own color and brightness and in fact they form one large mosaic.
A pixel can be very small or quite large, but in an image they are all the same size. It is clear that an image with many small pixels is much more detailed than the same image with fewer pixels that are larger (see sample photos)..

KartPhoto provides 5 different types of resolutions

800 pixels; this is the standard resolution that we sell via the webshop / gallery, for only € 2.50, good enough for social media such as facebook and instagram.
1280 pixels; standard resolution for pre-orders / reservations.
1600 pixels; can be ordered in the webshop / gallery, and can also be delivered as a pre-order / reservation with an additional price.
2500 pixels; to be delivered as a pre-order / reservation with an additional price, and requested by email.
5000 pixels; However well we photograph, unfortunately not every photo is suitable in this resolution, so this format is only available on request by email.

What quality suits me?
We have a digital photo with a width of 1280 pixels. Does it now have sufficient quality? That now depends on the medium – the way the photo is displayed. For display on a screen a different quality is needed than in printed matter, send us an email and we will discuss the possibilities.

Under the following conditions:
Attribution – The user must credit the creator, including a tag or link to the website. This must be done in a reasonable manner, without implying that the photo is owned by the user or a third party.
Personal use on your own website and social media is allowed; a link or tag is usually sufficient.
Non-Commercial – The work may not be used for commercial purposes, so no promotion of products, services, flyers, or sales on marketplaces, etc.
Share Alike – If you or third parties modify the work or build upon it, the modified work must be distributed under the same conditions. Under no circumstances may you or third parties profit financially from the photos taken by KartPhoto.

You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything permitted by the license.

Exception for Royalty-Free Purchase: The above conditions do not apply to photos purchased royalty-free. Specific terms agreed upon at the purchase of the royalty-free license apply to these photos.
